Wearing Ring In Islam

Abu Dawud has written from his own evidence that Anas bin Malik said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, intended to send a letter to the non-Arabs.  It was suggested that they not read the letter without a seal. At that time the Messenger of Allah ordered to make a silver seal on which was engraved Muhammad Rasoolullah. Anas also said that the whole ring of the Messenger of Allah was made of silver Even the jewel was made of silver. According to another narration of Anas, the ring of the Messenger of Allah was made of silver, the jewel of which was Abyssinian. Abu Dawud has narrated from Ibn Umar that when the ( first ) Messenger of Allah made a gold ring, the necklace of which was turned towards the palm of his hand. Muhammad Rasool Allah was engraved in it. Seeing this, people also made gold rings.

When the Messenger of Allah saw this condition, he threw off the ring and said, “I will never wear it.” Then make a silver seal and Muhammad Rasool Allah was written on it. After Rasool Allah, this ring was worn by Abu Bakr, after Abu Bakr, Umar was worn, and after Umar, Usman was worn. Even Uthman slipped out of his finger and fell into the arc. It is forbidden to make an iron and brass ring. Abu Dawood narrated from Abdullah that a man wearing a brass thumb came to the service of the Messenger of Allah. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: What is the reason that I can smell idols from you? Again the man appeared wearing an iron ring. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, What is the reason that I see attentive wearing the ornaments of hell. He immediately threw away the ring and asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): Then what should I make the ring with?

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: The ring is made of silver, but it is not enough for one. It is makruh to wear a ring on the middle finger and the finger of the Kalimah Shahadat. The Prophet persuaded Ali not to do so. It is better to wear a ring in the clutches of the left hand. Abu Dawood has narrated from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah used to wear thumbs on the left hand. And Nigina’s face was towards the palm. This is the way of most of the Salaf-e-Saliheen. There is a habit and a special sign of evil against it. One of the reasons for this is that it is mustahabb to do things with the right hand, so the ring should be worn on the left hand. Names and letters are engraved on the ring. Their literature is also in the same way. It is narrated by Ibn Abi Talib that the Messenger of Allah used to wear a ring on his right hand. According to this tradition, both the right hand and the left hand are equal for wearing a ring. But my favorite thing is first.
